About Üröm
Üröm sits in the Pilis foothills between Budapest and the central hills, with around 7,300 residents and good connections both into the city and out to the Pilis. The village has grown steadily as families have moved out from Óbuda and the III. district, and the events calendar reflects the mix of established locals and newer arrivals. Most programmes run out of the community house and the village square, with the calendar covering concerts, children's days, seasonal markets and the annual Üröm Napok village festival in summer. Outdoor events make use of the wooded hills behind the village, including themed walks, trail runs and family forest days. Üröm is around 20 minutes from central Budapest by bus or car, which makes it a practical destination for evening events. The Volán bus line from Árpád híd runs frequently through the day and into the evening.
