About Pilisszentlászló
Pilisszentlászló is the smallest village in Pest County, with around 400 residents and a mountain setting deep in the Pilis between Szentendre and the Visegrád hills. The village sits at around 360 metres in a forested basin, surrounded by the Duna-Ipoly National Park, and most visitors come for the walking trails and the quiet rather than a packed events calendar. The community house runs a small year-round programme with seasonal markets, the annual village day and occasional concerts and folk evenings. Pilisszentlászló has no rail link; the easiest approach is by bus from Szentendre HÉV station, around 25 minutes up a forested road, or by car from Budapest, around 50 minutes via Szentendre. The village is a popular weekend base for hikers heading to Dobogókő, Lukács-árok and the Pilis high ridge.
